From the centre of Whitchurch you need to find the traffic lights and take the Talbot St turning. If you are coming in from the west-Chester direction, this will be your 1st left. If you have come in past the garage on the roundabout this will be your 2nd right. If you have come in from the Nantwich road past the railway and police station, you need to take your first right -almost a u-turn.

Once you go through the houses and into the coutnryside, you will see a national sped limit sign -WARNING the road is exceptionally bumpy here and you may damage your vehicle if you go too fast.

Stay on this road for 1.25 miles, until you go under a railway bridge and the road bends sharply round to the left. The mere is situated on the right hand side, half way along the straight about 150 yards after going under the railway bridge. If you reach the house entrance to 'Blakemere' you have come too far.
