Blakemere
Blakemere offers superb day ticket fishing for specimen Carp to over 30 lbs, big Tench, Rudd, Roach, Perch, Pike & Eels in the North West of England.
We only allow a maximum number of 6 anglers on at any time, to ensure you have acres of space, and complete peace and tranquillity. All anglers must book in advance using our on line booking form. We allow fishing 24 hours a day, so you can book on just for a day visit, or for a week if you wish.
Carp fishing in the Midlands, on the Shropshire, Cheshire border, Blakemere's mature fishery offers anglers in the north west the opportunity to fish in an uncrowded and quiet part of our beautiful countryside simply teeming with wildlife. Blakemere aims to become the ultimate fishing experience in Shropshire and theNorth west, catering for specimen, match and pleasure anglers alike. There is a clean and reguarly serviced portaloo in the car park, but at present no Shower facilities on site.
Blakemere is a stunning, natural 9 acre mere, with depths of up to 13 feet and surrounded by large reed beds and sets of lilly pads. During the summer of 2010 it will be extended to around 13 acres in all, creating 4 new shallower bays up to 4 feet deep and 3 new islands.
Its aim is to offer superb day ticket fishing in the north west of England allowing you to fish for specimen carp to over 30lbs , large tench , perch , pike , eels , roach and rudd. The lake is located in an area called Black Park, just 1.5 miles from the small market town of Whitchurch, and only a few miles from the Welsh border. Night fishing is allowed.
Once completed this mature Shropshire fishery will offer up to 8 specimen, match or pleasure anglers the opportunity to fish in a quiet , uncrowded and peaceful part of the beautiful English countryside whilst watching the varied bird and animal life, including buzzards, barns owls, kingfishers, herons, great crested grebes, swans, Canadian and Greylag geese to name a few. Blakemere is set to become one of the best carp fishing lakes in Shropshire, Cheshire and the West Midlands.
