3 Rod rule change

You can now fish 3 rods at all times of the year, unless you are paired up in the same swim when its max 2 each. There is no extra charge. The booking form will be changed soon, just pay for 2 rods at mo and fish with 3.

BARBLESS hooks only on all rigs.

Due to recently finding a fish in poor condition with a size 2 Catfish hook and large barb embedded in its mouth, and at least one if not two fish trailing leads around the lake, I have decided we will now be BARBLESS hooks only on ALL rigs including running rigs.

Chain on Gate for Car Park 1

The chain is now in use around the gate in car park 1. It has a very simple carabena clip on it. Please put it back around once you leave as there are sheep in the field,and it has been left open more than once, resulting in us spending hours getting sheep back from fields a few miles away. Thank you.

Fish Names

If you catch a fish over 25lb you can name it, provided it doesn't already have one. Just send us a photo of each side of the fish, along with its weight and the Name you wish to call it.

Blakemere

Blakemere offers superb day ticket fishing for specimen Carp to over 30 lbs, big Tench to over 10lb, Rudd, Roach, Perch, Pike & Eels in the North West of England. Blakemere is home to over 200 stunning English fish. We have 5 different 30's, as well as 18 different fish over 25lb and a good back up of twenties, and high doubles,as well as a head of smaller fish that have spawned naturally in the lake a few years ago. These are in the 9-12lb bracket.

We only allow a maximum of 6 swims to be in use, out of 9, at any time. This ensures you have acres of space, and room to move if you wish, combined with complete peace and tranquillity. All anglers must book in advance using our on line booking form. We allow fishing 24 hours a day, so you can book on just for a day visit, or for a week if you wish.

Carp fishing in the Midlands, on the Shropshire, Cheshire border, Blakemere's mature fishery offers anglers in the north west the opportunity to fish in an uncrowded and quiet part of our beautiful countryside simply teeming with wildlife. Blakemere aims to become the ultimate fishing experience in Shropshire and theNorth west, catering for specimen, match and pleasure anglers alike. There is a clean and reguarly serviced portaloo in the car park, but at present no Shower facilities on site.

Blakemere is a stunning, natural 8 acre mere, with depths of up to 12 feet and surrounded by large reed beds and sets of lilly pads.

Our vision is to offer superb day ticket fishing in the north west of England. The lake is located in an area called Black Park, just 1.5 miles from the small market town of Whitchurch, and only a few miles from the Welsh border. Night fishing is allowed.

This mature Shropshire fishery offers up to 6 pegs to be used for carp, match, or pleasure anglers and the opportunity to fish in a quiet , uncrowded and peaceful part of the beautiful English countryside whilst watching the varied bird and animal life, including buzzards, barns owls, kingfishers, herons, great crested grebes, swans, Canadian and Greylag geese to name a few. Blakemere is set to become one of the best carp fishing lakes in Shropshire, Cheshire and the West Midlands.
